AMERICAN RAG event features rare acoustic set by MARC FORD and benefits THE ART OF ELYSIUM
ASHLAND, OR - LOS ANGELES, CA (April 24, 2010) – ORGANIC NATION, the newest and purest entry into the world of fine spirits, will pour special cocktails mixed with Hansen’s Natural Sodas for the launch of FREEDMAN’s Summer ready-to-wear collection at American Rag Cie, a hip boutique that’s been a mainstay of California culture since 1984.
The event will be taking place in their renowned “World Denim Bar” on Saturday, April 24th from 3:00 – 8:00 PM. Legendary guitarist Marc Ford (formally of the Black Crowes) will be performing a rare, live acoustic set with his new band, to begin around 6:00 PM.
FREEDMAN’s launch will coincide with an art installation that will be brought to life by the co-op of artists whom have all drawn inspiration from FREEDMAN’s distinctive sunburst logo, seen above. Each artist is adapting the sunburst to their own unique medium, the product of which will be on exhibition in American Rag’s front window. A silent auction to benefit The Art of Elysium will also be taking place during the event.

Before starting his high-end menswear line, California based designer Randy Freedman worked as Ben Harper’s guitar technician for nearly a decade. Randy began crafting custom ‘one of a kind’ made to measure button downs for musicians and other influential people in the entertainment industry. It was Randy’s intense and unflinching quest to bring back the ultimate in tailoring; to answer the desperate need for clothing that possessed the “perfect fit,” which prompted him to start his own namesake collection, FREEDMAN. Positive feedback inspired the conscious expansion into a comprehensive, ready-to-wear men’s shirt and jacket line.
